Deux paires de candélabres Louis-XVI, Musée Nissim de Camondo

These three-armed candelabras are sitting on a circular base adorned with gadrooning and leaf-shaped designs. The shaft is embossed with slightly curved and fluted patterns. A blazing torch in a vase sits at the top of the piece. Below the candelabra, there is a medallion fresco. It features mascaron ornaments which are connected to the arms and to a finely engraved flower garland. Each arm is adorned with leaves that reach all the way up to the beaded drip pans. These candelabras are typical of the Louis XVI style which traditionally features refined structures and references to classical art.
