Château de Versailles

Pendule XVIIIe siècle. Mouvement de Louis Ourry/ Versailles

Donation subject to the usufruct of Mrs. Paul Derval, 1971, registered in Versailles in 1987.

A combination of Chinese ceramic art and French bronze art.
This clock with its rotating dial combines a large celadon vase with a light green glaze, with a neoclassical gilt bronze decoration of garlands of flowers and cockerel heads.
The latter are highly symbolic: the emblem of France, they also herald the sunrise and the passing of the hours.
